AI can build a website in minutes. So what are you paying for?
Today anyone can type a few sentences into an AI tool and get a good-looking website in minutes. We use these tools every day ourselves, and they make our work faster and cheaper for our clients.
So why pay for a website at all? Because a generated page and a solid technical product are not the same thing. Here is what you are actually paying for, and what you are not.
What you pay for: the technical foundation
Speed and stability. A well-built site loads fast on a phone, stays stable after updates and does not break quietly. This part is invisible in a screenshot, but it decides whether visitors stay.
Clean structure for search. Correct page titles, structure, languages and technical setup, so Google and AI assistants can read and understand your site. This does not guarantee rankings, but without it, good rankings are very hard.
Features that work. Booking, payments, contact forms, client accounts, an AI assistant, several languages, connections to your email or CRM. AI helps us build these faster, but they still need to be designed, connected and tested properly.
Security and ownership. You own the code, the domain and the hosting account. Nothing is locked inside a platform you cannot leave.
Care after launch. Updates, security fixes, small changes and help when something needs adjusting.
What a website alone does not do
We want to be honest about this, because it is where many projects disappoint.
A website does not bring clients by itself. Visitors come from your marketing: social media, ads, recommendations, your reputation, the content you publish and the time you invest in it. A good website makes sure that when people arrive, the experience is fast, clear and works on every device.
We build the technical solution. We do not run marketing campaigns, manage ads or promise traffic or sales numbers. If you work with a marketing partner, we are happy to build what they need and work alongside them.
What this means for the price
Because AI speeds up the building, a solid website costs less and arrives faster than it did a few years ago. Be careful with providers who still charge old prices for template work, and with anyone who promises guaranteed results from a website alone.
How to get a fair quote
- Describe what the site must do: show your services, take bookings, sell products, work in several languages.
- Ask what is included after launch.
- Ask who owns the code, the domain and the hosting.
- Ask what is technical work and what is marketing, so you know who is responsible for what.
